Women’s Ministry

January – December 2010

We can be as close to Jesus as we choose.  When His friendship is our deepest delight we can not only trust that He knows what He is doing in our lives, but we can follow His lead and be blessed with a strength and peace that only comes from Him.

I’m looking forward to joining you on this year’s journey of becoming a more fully devoted friend of Christ and team up with you to reach out and have a friendship that makes a difference, John 15:15.

Personal:

• I want to plan out the year of activities for my work with WM.
• I want to have a genuine love for each lady in our ministry
• I want to be an encourager to the women I’m working with
• I want to depend on God more and not myself to accomplish my work with WM
• I want to have a positive impact on the ladies I touch through my work in WM
• I want  to spend more time in prayer  and Bible studies
• I want to know and better remember names of the women at Legacy
• I want to work on being a better wife, mother, and grandmother
• I want to pay more attention to taking care of myself – planning  for quiet times, and developing  healthy eating habits and exercise schedules

Group:

1. I’d like our ladies to know each other by their first names.
2. I’d like ladies to fellowship with each other in and outside of church functions.
3. I’d like more ladies to express prayer requests to each other through the WM and feel confident that those requests are being prayed for.
4. I’d like to see our attendance for ladies activities work up to an average of 150 ladies.
5. I’d like to see our ladies offer to volunteer to WM efforts without being asked.
6. I’d like to see our ladies study the Bible on their own and be women immersed in God’s Word.
7. I’d like to see our ladies motivated to actively invite others to join in on our women’s activities…. May we really get to know each other for .we will be in heaven together forever so we might as well start being friends on earth.
8. I’d like to see our ladies be prayer warriors for their husbands, children and grandchildren.
9. I’d like to see our ladies become more compassionate to other women.
10. I’d like to see our ladies become heroines of faith in that their faith in the Lord grows strong.
11. I’d like to see our ladies become more hospitable.
12. I’d like to see our ladies portray friendliness at a high level.
13. I’d like to see our ladies become mentors to other women.
14. I’d like to see women use their talents and gifts to reach the unsaved, and for them to come to know Christ.
15. I’d like to see our ladies each have specific devotional times.
16. I’d like to see our ladies love and encourage others more.
