The Vision
In 2008, the Missions Ministry Team and the Shepherds began a journey that would transform Missions at Legacy. Our church family decided to take on the great responsibility of overseeing and sponsoring two missionary families: the Mullins and the Nelsons. In 2009, Legacy took another step in sending the Calderon family to work with Siempre Familia in south Fort Worth.
The vision for Legacy Missions includes:
- Increasing involvement from Legacy members in short-term mission efforts like Let's Start Talking.
- Increasing involvement with the under-evangelized continent of Asia.
- Sending and overseeing more missionaries that are committed to evangelism and church planting.
- Sending "home grown" missionaries out into the mission field.
Be informed. Be prayerful. Be involved. "Missions is to the church as flame is to fire."
