The Vision

In 2008, the Missions Ministry Team and the Shepherds began a journey that would transform Missions at Legacy.  Our church family decided to take on the great responsibility of overseeing and sponsoring two missionary families:  the Mullins and the Nelsons.  In 2009, Legacy took another step in sending the Calderon family to work with Siempre Familia in south Fort Worth.  In 2012, the Mullins family made the decision to come back and work in the U.S.  This decision opened up the opportunity for Legacy to sponsor the Hindman family in Ukraine, who now works alongside the Nelsons.  Early in 2013, we sent a young family into the mission field.  Now we look forward to joining the Lord in His plans for Legacy Missions in the year to come!

The vision for Legacy Missions includes:

  • Increasing involvement from Legacy members in short-term mission efforts like Let's Start Talking.
  • Increasing involvement with the under-evangelized continent of Asia.
  • Sending and overseeing more missionaries that are committed to evangelism and church planting.
  • Sending "home grown" missionaries out into the mission field.

Be informed. Be prayerful. Be involved. "Missions is to the church as flame is to fire."
