Lifeline Chaplaincy Pillow Ministry
Our mission is to provide pillows to comfort brothers and sisters in Christ during their stay in area hospitals. Tarrant County Lifeline Chaplains visit hospitals every week to offer prayer and small pillows to members of the Church of Christ and their friends. They need between 300-500 pillows per month. Although several other local churches contribute pillows, Legacy is able to provide the majority of the pillows needed!
This ministry is an ongoing service project that needs the support of Legacy members. You don’t have to sew to help out! The Young Professionals Class has been a huge blessing to this ministry, showing up and doing whatever needs to be done.
- Groups/families/classes to:
- volunteer one hour on a Sunday afternoon to cut, turn and stuff pillows and to fluff fiber fill
- Individuals who are willing to work from home to:
- cut out pillows
- sew pillows together
- sew pillows closed after they are stuffed
To work from home, pick up a green polka dot bag from our ministry table in the grand concourse. Please sign the clipboard to let us know if you are cutting or sewing and how many bags you took.
