Legacy Church of Christ, North Richland Hills, TX, was formed on September 30, 2001 through the vision of the former Pipeline Rd. Church of Christ in Hurst (click here for a tribute to the history of the Pipeline Road and Legacy congregations). With a strong tradition built on the foundation of the Scriptures, we invest time, money, and effort in families and in relationships to grow closer to God. God has blessed us with many new members, some coming from other churches and many who found God for the first time here at Legacy.
The Legacy family is a diverse and balanced mix of all age groups that continues to grow and is now at over 1,000 members. Our facilities include a 1,500 seat worship center, a gymnasium, a lecture hall, education and office wings, as well as an outdoor amphitheater, recreational fields, prayer garden, and ample parking.
Legacy church is about people: ordinary people who have discovered the extraordinary value of loving relationships with other Christians and, more importantly, a loving relationship with God. We are learning to live for tomorrow, to have a purpose each day of our lives, and to depend on each other and the power of God to overcome the setbacks of life. We have many opportunities for ministry that encourage every family to serve God out of faith.
Many have found that this church offers them an opportunity to draw close to God, to develop lasting relationships, and to strengthen their families and marriages. We invite you to be part of this community of faith and share the joy and hope we have discovered here.
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second most important is similar: ‘Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.'” Matthew 22:37-39
