What Do We Believe?
- The Bible is the inspired word of God (II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:20-21)
- Our one God is three persons. Note that Matthew 3:13-17 pictures Jesus as The Son of God here on earth being baptized, the Holy Spirit descending on Him, and God, the Father, in heaven announcing, This is my Son whom I love.
- Jesus is the only hope of the world. Acts 4:12 says, Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.? Jesus taught, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.? (John 14:6)
- The Gospel is God's power to save (Romans 1:16-17; I Corinthians 15:1-4; I Peter 1:25)
God's plan for salvation is:
- Learn the truth (John 8:32; 17:17)
- Believe in (not into) Christ (John 8:24; 20:31; Hebrews 11:6)
- Repent of all sins (Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30; Romans 2:4; II Corinthians 7:9-10)
- Confess Faith in Christ (Romans 10:10; Acts 8:37; Matthew 16:16)
- Be baptized into Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16)
Each Sunday, we assemble to sing, pray, give, study, and commune. We serve open communion.
