As many of you know, we now have the capability to send up-to-date announcements and information right to your cell phone.  We are utilizing this text messaging service to better communicate information to our teens and families.   

Many have asked if this service will cost them money.  The simple answer is no, but it depends on the type of text messaging plan you have.  For instance, if you pay for 1,500 text messages a month, when you receive one of the messages from the youth group, it will cost you 1 of those 1,500.  If you pay for 1,500 but go over that amount your cell phone provider will determine the appropriate charges.  If you have unlimited texts, then there will definitely be no charge for you.  If you do not have a text messaging plan your cell phone provider will charge the appropriate chargers per text that you receive from the youth group.  Make sure you have a text messaging plan of some kind to avoid additional charges on your cell phone plan.
